US MODEL 1860 STAFF & FIELD OFFICER PRESENTATION SWORD:

In very good general condition. 100% authentic. 36 ˝ inch overall length. Fine hilt with very good shark skin wrapped grip retaining all of its original wiring. Very good 30 inch blade showing traces of an etched décor and very good ricasso maker markings. No nicks, dings… on the cutting edges. Blade and hilt perfectly tight together. Fine authentic presentation markings on the inside section of the folding guard (presentation to an army Captain in 1898 - see photos). In its very good original brass mounted steel scabbard retaining a good amount of its original nickel finish mixed with a smooth brown age patina. Nice!
