In very good attic condition. 100% authentic. 40 1/8 inch overall length. Very good brass hilt with very good inspector stamps. Good wood grip retaining about 50% of its original leather wrapping. Good 34 5/8 inch blade showing some surface staining mixed with an untouched age patina. Some cutting edge nicks. Fine inspector stamps and spine markings. 1813 dated. In its very good original steel scabbard bearing an even patina throughout. Faint drag inspector stamps. A scarce a desirable French 1st Empire saber having seen some service!
