RARE 19th CENTURY FRENCH PRISON OFFICER SWORD: 

In very good general condition. No scabbard. 22 ¼ inch overall length. Fine brass hilt with crossed keys symbol on guard. Excellent horn grip. Very good 16 ½ inch blade appears to have been period shortened. Beautiful etched décor on both sides. PEGUET marked and 1871 dated. An attractive and very unusual French sword!
