VERY RARE FRENCH NAPOLEONIC 1st EMPIRE MAMELUK SWORD DAGGER: In very good plus condition showing some normal wear and a nice untouched patina on the brass. 100% authentic. Circa 1805. 17 ¾ inch overall length. Solid brass hilt. Nice inside cutting edge 12 ¾ inch blade engraved on both sides with cabalistic symbols, a Mameluke bust, sun, moon and other motives. A good amount of the original gilt finish and some of the blue remaining. Balance of the blade with a smooth patina and superficial staining. In its original brass mounted leather scabbard with engraved mounts. Some normal wear to the leather and a small brass opening near the throat (see photos). An extremely rare and desirable 1st Empire Mameluk officer’s weapon ! $1950
