US CIVIL WAR ERA MODEL 1860 STAFF & FIELD OFFICER SWORD: 

In very good general condition. 35 ½ inch overall length. Nice brass hilt retaining some of its original gilt finish. Wood grip retaining most of its original leather wrapping and all of its original wiring. Fine 30 ¼ inch blade showing a very nice etched décor on both sides. Nice smooth age patina throughout. No nicks, dings… to the cutting edges. Blade and hilt perfectly tight together. In its very good brass mounted steel scabbard retaining most original nickel finish. Middle mount missing a small screw (see photos). An attractive and classic US sword !
