NICE 17th or 18th CENTURY EXECUTIONER TYPE AXE: 

In good general condition with metal showing normal oxidation mixed with an age patina. Hand forged with some metal opening due to metal bending (see photos). 15 5/8 inch long X 8 1/4 inch wide. 15 5/8 inch cutting edge. 5 3/4 pounds heavy. Two very nice maker stamps on the left side. Missing the wood shaft. A very attractive early axe!
