RARE US REMINGTON BREECH LOADER PROTOTYPE RIFLE: 

58 caliber. 55 inch overall length. In very good general conversion. It is a Remington Civil War rifle musket that has been period converted as an experimental Breech loader rifle. Interestingly the experiment was never completed since the locking mechanism was never finished. Very good metal and markings. Excellent action. Excellent rifled bore. Fine stock showing some light handling marks and 2 fine inspector cartouche. No cleaning rod. A unique and very interesting Remington gun!
