RARE FRENCH MAQUAIRE TYPE ENGLISH CONSTABULARY REVOLVER : 

In very good general condition. 1870 circa. 8 1/2 inch overall length. 380 centerfire caliber. 4 3/16 inch barrel. Mostly gray metal with traces of light oxidation in areas. Light age patina throughout. Some simple engraving on frame. Marked "Acier fondu" on barrel and "ENGLISH CONSTABULARY" on top strap. Very good original one piece checkered walnut grip. Fine action and bore with strong rifling. An unusual and interesting European revolver !
