In very good overall condition. 44 Russian caliber. 7 inch barrel. Very good original, somewhat shrunk ivory grips. Serial number 38018 on butt and 1847 on cylinder and barrel. Very good metal with about 30% original nickel remaining on frame. The balance bearing a pleasing and smooth age patina throughout. Very good barrel markings. Very good action with cylinder not perfectly locking. Excellent extraction. Good bore with very good rifling. A scarce and desirable early Smith & Wesson !
